    See attached pic, couldn't figure this out or find any relevant with the search. My forums are 780 width.

    edit the bbcode_* templates and add a width tag into them.

      width:$stylevar[codeblockwidth];

      Where does the template pull the variable "codeblockwidth" from? Where is that set?

        Sorry for bumping, I'd like to change the value wherever the variable codeblockwidth is set rather than inserting the value here. (if that's possible?)

          To be honest im not sure where that is defined if anywhere in the settings, the closest thing i found was

          AdminCP > vBulletin Options > BB Code Settings > Maximum [CODE] Lines

            Yeh, I saw that but that's just for height, not width.

            Actually, maybe it's cos I'm using the legacy postbit and that's why it's not a problem on here, there must be somewhere to change it?

              Try this (I *JUST* ran into the same problem and looked for it in the template)...

              Admin CP >> Styles & Templates >> Style Manager >> <Template you use> >> StyleVars >> Code Block Width (Pixels)

              It says for pixels only, but I have it set as a percentage (95%) just fine, which is great because I have users who can choose between the legacy and the new postbit.

              Finally live with vB4... I will say it's a pain in the bucket compared to what we're used to working with (using free CMS software no less).

                Nice one, that's it. I have it set to 480px now with my forums 780 wide and legacy postbit, fits well. Using % causes it to mess up in IE.

                  Dont think you can use a percentage in that box (notice it says pixels) if you want to function like 100% use auto.

                    I tested it in all of my browsers (IE included), all of the postbit styles, no problem that I can see. But, I don't want it 100% either.

                        it you set a fixed pixel width for the codeblock, it will auto-scroll as needed.
