I am in no rush an dI appreciate you taking the time.

I downloaed the program GIMP as suggeted and I notice that all the smiles are in the same psd file, does that mena I have to alterante turning on one layer at a time and saving it as a different image?

Also for anyone familar wiht then program, I saw how to add a new layer, but how do you use the file option to make it all one color, was not working by just clicking the paint bucket on the layer

Add a new layer, move it behind all the other layers (to the bottom) and use the paint bucket.

It has opened every VB GDK psd I've tried. It does enable every layer as visible, but it seems to work just fine. Can you give me a GDK example of a vector PSD?

Yes. If you run windows, grab GIMP from here: http://www2.arnes.si/~sopjsimo/gimp/stable.html
