Upgrade RC4 to 3.0 Gold, forum manager problem

I just upgraded today - nice and easy, everything seemed fine until I went to the Forum Manager in the admincp.

The drop down boxes are blank for both the forums and the moderators. Everything on the site is working properly though.

How can I populate these boxes again?

OK - it isn't really fixed, but here's a work around.

I changed the settings in the VBOptions/Admin CP Options so that now you have to "expand" a forum in the forum manager to display the drop down boxes. It is a bit cumbersome, but it is the only way that I can get the drop down boxes populated, the other way, after the upgrade they came up blank so that no advisors could be added, etc.

Is there any fix for this?
