  • Lost the IMG ability

My little IMG icon on the WSYIG or whatever disappeared, and when my users use the IMG tags they just get the IMG tags with the image link listed ??

I've dug through the admincp but can't figure out what I might be missing.

Make sure the IMG tag is enabled per forum.

It is, all that checks out. That never got turned off or would have, and I double checked, its on.

Its on in all the places it should be.

Quick question, I have enabled thumbsnails for attached images, does this turn off the IMG tag?

Are you sure IMG tags are enabled for the forum in question?

Admin CP -> Forums & Moderators -> Forum Manager -> Edit Forum

Are your users entering a valid URL for the images? If the URL is not valid (e.g. - missing a ":" or "/") then the IMG tag won't take it.

Does the image link contain parameters? If so, this option needs to be enabled:

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Message Posting and Editing Options -> Allow Dynamic URL for [IMG] Tags

To answer all of your questions, YES YES AND YES.

I double and tripple checked. Doesn't work in posts, and the little IMG picture is missing in the WYSIG editer, when manually entered it does not work.

          I have tested it myself [ i m g ] http://www.hr3rdgen.org/sig.jpg [ / i m g ]

just like that won't produce a single image. Just a link.

correction, no image, a matter of fact it deleted what I put in. Nothing showed up, I went to edit and the image tag with the above mentioned was gone.

yeah I noticed that, but the button still doesn't show up in the editor anymore? I've been using vb for 2 years now, I think I'd know how to write an img tag line.

But the button is still missing.

Make sure your WYSIWYG editor templates are default:

Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> -> Editor Templates

And make sure the appropriate BB code options are enabled:

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> BB Code Settings

OK I have checked the forum permissions (for the [IMG] tag) as well as enabled Dynamic parsing yet the [IMG] tags still don't seem to work.

I checked my BB Code settings however and noticed there was no entry for the [img] tag:

                        Any ideas?

The second link in the above post contains the [IMG] tags but also showed up as a link.

Its happening all over the forums, not just a few URLS
