  • $forumjump not working in search?

    Hi,

    The search templates include $forumjump in them, but the actual scrolldown box doesn't show up on the search result pages.

    Should I simply add makeforumjump(); in search.php, under require("./global.php"); ?

    Thanks,

    Bira

        Why is this question being ignored?

        Tell me it's a bug; tell me it's not a bug; tell me you don't really care - but tell me something please?

          I don't know what exactly you have to change to get it to work but ForumJump is not a global template as it is.

            Wluke, $forumjump DOES appear in the search template ORIGINALLY. And, it is a global function per se. I added it to calendar.php right under include(./global.php) and it make it work in the calendar pages.

            I don't know why it's not working in the search pages too, but surely this is a bug? I mean, am I the only one around who thinks it should exist on the search pages too? Apparently not, or $forumjump would not have been included in the ORIGINAL template that comes with vBulletin

              I don't use it anymore...

              Since 2.0 came out it doesn't fit my needs anymore. I liked it before because I could move around at SitePoint without using a mouse by just using the ForumJump box. However it is too much hassle to use it. Honestly I haven't messed with it much and only leave it where it lies so my members can use it.

                  Wayne:
                  You will need to open up search.php

                  In that file look for the line:
                  eval("dooutput(\"".gettemplate("searchresults_threadonly")."\");");

                  It should be near the bottom of the file.

                  Above that put:
                  makeforumjump();

                  Thank u
