  • include the userid in a URL

    Hi,

I want to create a post with a URL in it and have that URL include the vBulletin user ID of the user who clicks it.

    Kind of like this:
where %userid% is replaced with the vBulletin user id of the person who clicks the link.

The purpose of this is to notify another system of certain user actions within vBulletin.

Can I do this with BBCode or something (without having to write PHP changes)?

    TIA.

    ?userid=$bbuserinfo[userid]

Thanks for the reply, but it doesn't work.

The "$bbuserinfo[userid]" is just literally included in the URL.

$bbuserinfo array elements don't parse in posts. That requires modifying the vBulletin code. I recommend you post on www.vbulletin.org , the official vB hacking site.
