Search not working on some titles

However, when I search on any of the words in the title and check to search on title only - such as cadmium, loving, free - no hits are found. What could be causing this and is there anything I can do to correct it?

Have you tried rebuilding your search index?

I have done that, yes. The error is so intermittent that I can never tell if it makes a difference or not. And, it always comes back. Thanks I will try that again. I'll get maybe 3-12 of those messages very close to each other and then I might not get any for weeks.

Sorry but this could be related to the outdated vB version and the hacks you've installed.

Oops, my earlier answer was about the other thread I have going - got them confused. I have tried rebuilding and it doesn't seem to make a difference. I have no problem finding things in the body -only the title. As mentioned, I have only one little hack in the Member List template.

Sorry but again you are running a badly outdated version of vB. There's not really much support we can offer since there have been many bug fixes since 2.0.1, and newr versions of PHP and MySQL have introduced a number of incompatibilities with older versions of vB. Sorry!
