'Latest post' code?

Just had a good look round but haven't been able to find an answer to my latest n00b question With some forums, such as Proboards, the latest post or last updated topic is shown (in bold, I think) in the box where it also tells you how many users are online at the bottom of the board. I always found this useful and wondered if it was possible to add something similar to a vB forum? As ever, any help or advice much appreciated. TIA

The menu has a link 'get posts' this will load a page with the latest discussion since last visit. Hopefully this is what you want. If you really want a page to show the last x discussions than you should ask on vbulletin.org how to do this, they handle the source code moddings Good luck! Thanks for the reply If you take a look here: http://pktemp.proboards25.com/index.cgi and scroll down to near the bottom of the board to Forum Statistics, you'll see what I mean. "Last Updated Topic blahblah by Poster (Today at 1.00pm)" It's this part I wanted to add, if it's possible. On a similar note, I was also wondering if it's possible to change where it says the date for posts made today to "Today", as is also the case on Proboards forums. This make it much easier to spot the latest posts.

Yep, that probably requires source code hacking, if you want, I can write this hack for you and release it with install instructions on my vb fan site (this site doesn't allow hack discussions) - otherwise goto vbulletin.org

It is a pretty easy hack to write.

ok, the code, templates and stuff are written and do not give an error, but .. the style isn't showing anything at all, so something goes wrong somwhere.

Ah SoOOO stupid.
Ok, the bug is fixed and the first 1.0 version is out.
Beta testing it now and tweaking it when i get back from evening dinner.
After which I will write an installer and release the hack
