Make existing subforums into main forums

After importing some forums from phpbb2 I finally got what I wanted as far as imports. But now I want to make some of the subforums into mainforums and don't know how to do this via the admin control panel.

Does anyone know how to do this without hacking?

I'm not much of a code man!

Hi there,

If you goto the admin control panel you can goto the forum manager.

In the forum manager you can set up each forum to behave like a main forum, parent (also known as category) a subforum or have a forum behave like a link instead of a forum.

The position of the forum can be controlled by selecting the parent or child and it will stand above, below it, etc. Try some things out.

You can also set up the order, so forum a appears before forum b and not behind it.
