AVATAR and Uploading Images Doesn't work

I'm running vBulletin on the Futurequest servers. What do I need to do to get my avatars and image uploading to work properly. I just get the white square with red x = no picture whenevr I try to upload something.

it works on this server, my problem is is doesn't work on mine. What do I need to do specifically to get this working. Moderators, admin ????? Anyone???

Right now, they won't work on FQ because they run in safe mode.

There was a bit of a workaround that's been worked on, but I haven't tested the code on safe mode to tell you if it works.

I can't get it to work in safe mode either..

I named a directory and chmod 777 'ed it ---no luck , crap.....

no avatars, no image upload.....THIS SUCKS!

Okay, the image upload works but the avatar doesn't.....

You have to modify the script because of a bug. It isn't using the variable in the control panel. Their was a post a while back on how to do this.

At first I couldn't get the fix to work because of the way my host works.

The directory is like /web/sites/295/www.catclub.f2s.com/

that goes to my website

I was only inputting as far back as the FTP is set to allow which is one below www.catclub.f2s.com and that's the only directory I can see.

I eventually tried entering the whole address and it worked so make sure the address is right as well.

got it to work

I didn't get the upload feature to work but could use the add avatar (images uploaded via ftp). Set value for number of threads to zero if you want to see them. Admin threads count is always zero. Other users see them!
