  • images folder going to wrong location

    On my home page, the icons in the menu corners are fine www.mcse2000.com/images but if I go to a subfolder then instead of going to the root for /images it looks for it under the subfolder (www.mcse2000.com/downloads/images instead of www.mcse2000.com/images). This happened after a web person made some cosmetic changes. Any ideas?

    Are you using vBulletin to power pages outside of your forum directory? When operating outside of the forum directory you need to change the {imagesfolder} replacement variable to a full URL instead of a relative path.

    Admin CP -> Replacements -> Modify -> [expand list] -> {imagesfolder}

    Change it to http://www.mcse2000.com/images

      I changed it to http://www.mcse2000.com/images without quotes or anything and it still appears to be pointing at the subfolder/images. I think you are right on here but I may not have the correct syntax?!?!

        If the webmaster hardcoded the image paths into the templates, then you would continue to have this problem. You need to make sure there are no hardcoded paths in the templates.
