  • admin only can open a thread and only then users can post

    Hi,
I would like to know if this is possible that only admin and moderators can start new threads in a specific forum and that users can post in that thread. I don't users to be able to open threads, just post in already existing threads. Is that something possible? I have been trying a few things but it doesn't work.

    Thanx a lot.

Yes, just set the forum permissions for 'Can post new threads' accordingly for each user group.

Thanx a lot for replies. I am still a bit confused about what I should edit in order to achieve what is described above:
        COPPA) Users Awaiting Moderation
        Administrators
        Moderators
        Registered
        Super Moderators
        Unregistered / Not Logged In
        Users Awaiting Email Confirmation
