    More Help to Accomodate the Visually Impaired

    Here's more follow-up info, so that other interested admins can create styles that make their forums more accessible to the visually impaired.

    You can change the text size in all form fields (including all input boxes, pulldown selection menus, submit buttons, and so on). I did this, in three easy steps.

    (1) I created a new replacement variable, called {formtextsize}. For the "visually impaired" styles, I gave it a value of 18. For "regular" styles, I gave it a value of 12.

    (2) Edit the headinclude template, so it includes the new replacement variable, as follows:

    PHP Code:
    SELECT {

    FONT-FAMILYVerdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;

    FONT-SIZE: {formtextsize}px;

    COLOR#000000;

    BACKGROUND-COLOR#CFCFCF
    }
    TEXTAREA, .bginput {

    FONT-SIZE: {formtextsize}px;

    FONT-FAMILYVerdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;

    COLOR#000000;

    BACKGROUND-COLOR#CFCFCF

    (3) Edit the vbcode_buttons template, so it includes the new replacement variable, as follows:
    PHP Code:
    <style>
    #codebuttons input { font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica; font-size: {formtextsize}px; }
    #codebuttons select { font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica; font-size: {formtextsize}px; }
    .smilieTable border-width2pxborder-styleoutset; }
    </
    style

    I've found the answer. I can change the text font size, in the input fields, by using CSS. Here is the Google search I used, to find more info on this, in case others have a similar question.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
    Unfortunately, changing the smallfont value had no effect.

    Here's the code in question (newreply template):
    PHP Code:
     <textarea name="message" rows="20" cols="$textareacolswrap="virtual" tabindex="2">$message</textarea
    How to make the text appear larger, that the user types into the "message"?

    Change the small font setting:

    Admin CP -> Styles -> Modify -> [fonts/colors/etc] -> fonts

    As seen in the attachment, below, I've made a style with large text (for the visually impaired). Now, how can I make larger the text that's circled in green?
