Several other people had this error. Unfortunately I will have to defer this to Ed, Freddie or John as they wrote the upgrade script and are more familiar with it.

I think that a lot of the problems are people upgrading from hacked boards.

I helped one person out who I believe used a PM hack, and the installation failed.

                        I have NO hacks whatsoever

I think I changed two lines in the global file to not show register when logged in with cookies and thats it...

Not really a hack huh ?

LOL, I just wanna get vb2 running !

                          Edit these lines in upgrade1.php

ADD pmfolders MEDIUMTEXT NOT NULL AFTER ignorelist,
ADD receivepm SMALLINT DEFAULT '1' NOT NULL AFTER pmfolders,
ADD emailonpm SMALLINT NOT NULL AFTER receivepm,
ADD pmpopup SMALLINT NOT NULL AFTER emailonpm,
                          change them to

                          ADD pmfolders MEDIUMTEXT NOT NULL,
ADD receivepm SMALLINT DEFAULT '1' NOT NULL,
                          ADD emailonpm SMALLINT NOT NULL,
                          ADD pmpopup SMALLINT NOT NULL,
