  • Ikonboard 2 into Vbulletin 2.3.2

    I keep getting mysql errors everytime I try and import the Ikonboard msg board into the Vbulletin one, this is what I get;

    Code:
    Database error in vBulletin Control Panel 2.3.2:
    Invalid SQL: INSERT INTO userfield
    	  (userid,field1,field2,field3,field4,importuserid,isnew)
    	  VALUES
    	  ('73',
    	  '',
    	  '',
    	  '',
    	  '',
    	  '1',1
    	  )
    mysql error: Duplicate entry '73' for key 1
    mysql error number: 1062
    Can anyone help me out? As I am abit baffled by it. Sorry if I have duplicated a thread, I couldn't find one similar to the problem I am having!

    Thanks, in advance!

    It means that userid already exists. Did you run the import script once before?

      It did that or something very similar when I ran it from scratch though. That's what I didnt get. I will fresh install VB and post whatever the error it gives me.

        Ok, this was the error. When importing in the forums, posts etc

        Code:
        Warning: file(/home/mywebsite/cgi-bin/forum2/list.cgi): failed
        to open stream: Permission denied in /home/mywebsite/www/amb/
        importers/bbimport_ib2.php on line 373
        Warning: Variable passed to each() is not an array or object
        in /home/mywebsite/www/amb/importers/bbimport_ib2.php on line 374
        Obviously the path isnt true, for security purposes. But the CHMOD settings should be right for the ikonboard stuff. Any ideas as to why it's giving up the ghost?

        Thanks for any help!

          I'm really not familiar with IB or this import script. However the IB database needs to have the same db user as the vB database.

            Ikonboard 2 didn't run on a database, it was cgi. Flat files etc.

              The IB files are on the same server, right? Are you using the complete and exact path to the files in the import settings?

                Same server, exact paths.

                  Well it's giving you a 'Permission denied' error which usually indicates the path is wrong or the directory and/or files in that directory have the wrong permissions. Check the permissions.
