  • Restoring a database

I'm just asking this as a precautionary measure. I run daily backups using MySql front. I select every database and every table and I check off structure and data.

I've read a lot on here about restore/moving servers. but my *possible problem* is that my host doesn't allow Telnet/SSH access to their servers.

How would I go about doing a restore if I don't have the access as outlined in the tutorials?

Any help/links to other tutorials would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Jim

How big is your database? If it isn't too big, you could restore it via phpMyAdmin... otherwise you would just need to ask your host to restore it for you.

Make sure you wait for a Confirmation message, when using PHP ADmin
