User ID problem

For some reason or another, my users IDs jump from 434 to 2667. I don't know why this happened, and I would like to fix it a I have a member number hack in my postbit. Any suggestions?

It really depends how many users have this high id number?

the userid is referenced in the majority of tables.

Wow, thanks for the speeedy response. I have 640 members at the moment, so that would mean that only around 200 have numbers in the 2000's.

the process is far too complicated to change that many userids as its referenced in about 13 different tables so thats 600 queries that need to be run at least.

There isn't actually a problem with having different userids or is this just for asthetics?

It's not a problem at all, I just wanted to know if I could set it back to where it is supposed to be, or at least stop it from happening.
