  • huge problem, can't unset private forum

this is very very strange. One of my forums has just disappeared. I can see it, but my members can't. I goto admin panel and see that the private forum setting is off. But I click to set it to on and submit the change. I go back to the setting and see it is still off. Somehow my forum got set to private forum and it doesn't respond to any change. However all my other forums I can set private forum on and off. any ideas?

also all my forum permission settings confirm that my members should be able to see the forum

Did you check the entry in the database for this forum to see if anything was out of the ordinary?

Compare the settings to a forum that doesn't have this problem. I'm not really sure what to look for either, until I am actually there looking.

hmmm, i also went to change forum permissions on the one that isn't visible and set a usergroup to default because it had been custom. but it doesn't stick, it doesn't change. I select default radio button. click submit, go back and it's still custom.

Unfortunately (for me) vB3 now uses 'options' fields for this kind of data now. And I do not know how to decipher or use this info.
