  • Automatic Email Causing Thread Timeout

This has been happening for large threads for the most part. When a reply is attempted to one of these threads, the following message is displayed:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in c:\hosting\webhost4life\member\Deyth\vbulletin\admin\functions.php on line 56

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in c:\hosting\webhost4life\member\Deyth\vbulletin\admin\functions.php on line 2429
When automatic email notification is disabled the problem goes away. I do not consider that an acceptable solution, many users rely heavily on those emails.

If you'd like to test this out, the most recent thread exhibiting this behavior can be found at http://www.the-combine.net/vbulletin...&threadid=9544

This is a server issue. You will need to contact your host to find out why PHP's mail() function is timing out like this.

Would you have any advice as to where I can aim them to help narrow things down a bit?

Not really. Presumably they know how to trouble-shoot server related problems.

No problem. Thanks all the same.
