Forum Subscriptions and ????

I have searched on this and there is a lot of conflicting information out there, so I have to ask. I was under the impression that if a user clicked the link that reads "Subscribe to this Forum" they would reveive an email for every new post and thread created in the forum, but that is not happening.

If I put them in the admin page field for receiving an email for all new posts and threads it will work, but not for subscriptions.

So how do I get it to work where they will receive an email for every new post or thread in a forum?

No, that's incorrect. Forum subscriptions in vB2 do not generate emails. There is an option in the Forums & Moderators section that allows you to enter specific addresses that will receive email notice with every new post and/or new thread in a forum. You need to add these manually to the forum settings.
