        1. Create a dummy user account.
        2. Give the user admin privileges.
        3. PM Steve and give him the login details.
        4. Set 'GZIP Output' to NO.

Just had a stroke of luck.
One of my admins could still access the board,so i asked him to disable gzip and that has fixed the problem.Although the board is damn slow now.

Thanks for your help and suggestions guys.

BTW,any ideas why gzip compression suddenly caused this problem, when it has worked perfectly well up until a few hours ago.

I've been trying to set up an Apache server, and I had this same problem. Enabling "output_handler =ob_gzhandler" stopped my dnlding problem, but I had to disable zlib.output_compression. Would anyone be so kind as to explain how to enable gzip? This is vB3.0 b5 I'm setting up as my test forum.

Some suggestions have nothing to do, with the problem that was mentioned by Reverend.

Its a server issue 100000% ONLY!!! Theres an "OFF/ON" choice in my Control Panel, that fixes this problem (downloading some files from the server).

Im not at home now, so i can access my CP & write down exactly how its been called. I'll reply back again, as soon as possible.

                    So.

In my server's Control Panel in the "Settings" area, theres a command called:

"Indexing". It supports "Enable" and "Disable".

If its been set to "Disable", i get those download messages. If "Indexing" is set to "Enable", theres no problem!

                    Hope, i helped.

Why would anyone ever want people to dnld the php files, rather than the forum operating as it should? I don't quite understand that option. I think I already hate Apache.
