Ok.. i sorta emptied my 'posts' table (please dont ask why/how - its a long story).. anyway.. the host said the daily backup they made of my account didnt include the mysql.. so i was out of luck.

I made the message board live again and peopel began posting, BUT, whenever someone posted, an old thread would come up.
It appears that the new thread id number xxxx is still corresponding to the old thread id number xxxx. so it looks like the posts ARENT gone.

my question is..

Can i restore all the posts? If so.. how?

if not..

how do i make the old posts go away when people are making new ones?

Nope sorry, without the original post table you're out of luck.

As for the other question you might need to empty the thread table. I have no idea if this will fix all problems though.
