custom links for a particular forum

this is very much a newbie question, but here is where I am at.

I created a new forum and a new style for it. I didn't make the new style user selectable and forced it on the new forum. So far, so good, I now have a new forum that has a custom look. But, I want to add some top of the board custom links to *only* this new forum. Can someone help me with the next step, please?

You could modify the header or the forumdisplay of the style you made to add those links.

when I modify the header as shown in

it changes all the forums, not just the one in this particular style. I am missing a concept on how to do what I need to get done. Is that the section you are suggesting I modify?

You have to create a style specifically for this forum and set 'user-selectable' to 'No'. Then in the Forum settings, set it to use this style.

Steve, I did create a new style, called CFS. Then I made that style mandatory for that board. That part worked great. But I still don't understand what I need to do to have custom links in that particular style. The screenshot was taken while I was in the CFS style.

I just wanted to say thanks for the help, and let everyone know I got it resolved. My steps were to create duplicate template set, under the name of linkstest and then call that set from the forum that I wanted to insert the new links into. I only modified one file, the header file, as suggested and it works great. Since I run vP in conjuction with vBbulletin 2.3.0, my steps may have been different that if I was running vB standalone.
