Make users go back and fill in profile fields

i made some fields in the registration required. also, the users from when we were on phpbb didnt have all the same fields. is there a way i can make them go back and fill in their profile other than asking them?

Not without hacking. Look at www.vBulletin.org

Well, when they go back to their profile to edit something, they also have to fill in the required fields, but technically, the only way to get them to fill out the fields would be asking. There might be a hack on vBulletin.org, but don't quote me on that.

Just enable HTML, and make an announcement which autoforwards them to their profile

then they HAVE to enter it
