  • <br/> tags added to HTML post

whenever i create an HTML post, vBulletin adds a <br/> at the end of each line. i found some earlier postings here that said the trick is to have HTML code ON and vB code OFF... perhaps that worked on an earlier version? i'm on 2.3.0 and with vB code, Smilies, and [IMG] turned off (and HTML code On), i'm still getting the extra newlines.

am i doing something wrong here?

    thanks.

it something to do with vBulletin and how it parses code.. dunno if this is fixed in vB3.

In any case, having HTML set to ON is a serious security risk.

my plan was to have HTML ON in a private forum where i could create my post and then move the post over to the public forum. i wouldn't turn HTML ON for any of the public forums.

all i'm trying to do is create a table... is there another way to do this? maybe i should just rethink my post and do something simple...
