    Hi,

Just recently I had to use repair.php to fix a database problem. It seems to have done the trick although the first time I ran it I got the message...

    Checking table thread
    TABLE OPERATION TYPE TEXT
asb_forum.thread check warning Table is marked as crashed
asb_forum.thread check warning Not used space is supposed to be: 60 but is: 40
asb_forum.thread check error record delete-link-chain corrupted
    asb_forum.thread check error Corrupt
Is it likely that I've lost anything as a result, or will the repair function have fixed all these issues? How would I know? The second time I ran the script I got OK or already up to date messages for all tables.

It's rare but if the damage is so severe that it can't be repaired, then you will lose data. The only way to know for sure is to check out the forums thoroughly.

OK, I understand. Thanks for the info. I'll just have to hope that repair.php can handle the job whenever the need to use it arises.
