  • The old 'wait_timeout' issue

Getting some MySQL errors, because my webhost (oneandone.co.uk) has set the 'wait_timeout' value to 60. Yeah, I know... What use is 60, right? Well they won't change it.

    >> Database error in vBulletin 2.3.0:
    >> mysql error: Lost connection to MySQL server >> during query
    >> mysql error number: 2013

I'm sure you know the score, I've seen your previous support thread.

So basically what I'm asking is ... what do I now need to worry about? What are the possible (likely) consequences? Hope you can advise.

My only other option is to buy a dedicated server from them for waaay more money a month. I'm not prepared to do that yet, the site isn't even busy enough to demand that.

Have you tried enabling "Persistant Connections?"
    It might help.
