  • getting rid of additional information fields when a user goes to edit profile

How do I get rid of the fields such as ICQ Number:
    AOL Instant Messenger Handle:
Yahoo Messenger Handle and so on which are displayed when a user clicks on edit profile from within the user control panel.

    thanks

Remove or comment them out of the modifyoptions template.

        Sorry, it's modifyprofile.

By the way you can use the template search function to locate the correct template(s).

thanks but that is not the page I want to change, I have alreadyt done so. it is the page like this
          http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/profi...do=editprofile

this is the page where after a user registers, if they go in and then want to view their profile they can do so and it still has the ICQ, Yahoo etc options, even though I took them out of the other template when they registered.

Then modifyprofile IS the correct template. Not sure why you don't think so.

I have re-looked at it again, and things like Yahoo IM, ICQ and all those references are gone. When a user registers, they do not see those fields at all. But when a user then goes into their profile and views their profile those fields are still in there.

please have a look at www.jewishcomedy.net/forums and register and you will see what I am talking about. thanks
