  • Inactive users logged out question

OK, this may have been asked and I searched but did not find it anywhere.

    Here is my question.....

Are inactive users automatically logged out?

And if so.... can the time it takes for them to be automatically logged off be changed? (specifically... can that amount of time be increased?)

They are logged out when their session ends and this occurs when the Cookie Timeout is reached. You can modify this setting in the Admin CP.

Change CKEditor Colors to Match Style (for 4.1.4 and above)

      Are you referring to....
      Timeout for Cookie
This is the time in seconds that a user must remain inactive before the unread posts are reset to read.

          Perfect!

Will increasing that time have any adverse effect on my bandwidth?

Not on bandwidth, but it will increase the current users online count.

If you set this to more seconds, then the who is currently online box will display their names longer.
