upgrade from 2.2.8 to 2.3.0

  • upgrade from 2.2.8 to 2.3.0

    Hi,

    I am sorry if this it the 100 time you get this question.
    I was reading some post they say the only way you can upgrade is by running the install script and loosing all my edited templates and changes ...

    But I remember reading somewhere that you can do it be comparing changes in files and doing an import....

    Upgrading will overwrite your hacks to the vB php files, but it does not overwrite any custom templates.

      even if I edited some VB standard template I will NOT Loose that ?

      It there no manual method of upgrading ?

        No, there is no 'manual' upgrade method. The upgrade instructions are posted here:
