  • New Reply Problem

I've no idea what is going on but recently within the past few days i have had a load of e-mails saying there is a problem with the database.

Anyway the problem is when you post you get an error like this

    Database error in vBulletin 2.2.6:
Invalid SQL: REPLACE INTO searchindex (wordid, postid, intitle) VALUES (2037,15890,0),(3069,15890,0),(404,15890,0),(806,15890,0),(228,15890,0),(266,15890,0),(587 8,15890,0),(3106,15890,0),(521,15890,0),(157,15890,0),(1315,15890,0),(4341,15890,0),(1158, 15890,0),(10652,15890,0),(3333,15890,0),(30655,15890,0),(679,15890,0),(11134,15890,0)
mysql error: Can't open file: 'searchindex.MYD'. (errno: 145)
    mysql error number: 1016

    Referer: http://www.f1modelnews.com/modelforu...&threadid=1246

Not all the time but sometimes.

I have not a clue what has caused it as i have not changed any settings for month's and have not installed any new things.

The only thing i can think of is 34sp upgrading there servers but i can't see this as the cause.

I don't understand why there is the "searchindex.myd" bit in there for.

Anyone know what might be causing this?

There is a problem with your searchindex table.

Upload repair.php to your admin directory and run it from your browser... like this:

    http://www.yoursite.com/forum/admin/repair.php?html=1&check=1

You might need to run it a few times to clear any errors that show up.

If that doesn't work, try running this query on your database using phpmyadmin or the mysql prompt:

    REPAIR TABLE searchindex
