New member cannot login with their password

Hi, all. I'm running 2.3rc3

Recently I recieved many emails from new members that they cannot login with the password that they typed in when they register.

I tested by myself as new member and found out that it was true. I could not login with the original password. Only way to solve this problem was to reset the password through the email.

What's the cause of this problem? I never had this problem before. Any ideas?

This has never been reported as a bug in any version. Have you installed any hacks? Did you upgrade from a previous version? If so, what version and what steps did you take to upgrade?

Upgraded from 2.2.6 with no such a problem for a couple of months now. Suddenly forum members report this problem to me and I've just found out.

I have stars hack installed ---for such a long time--- but never had this problem. Any ideas?

Reupload all the original vB files and see if you still have this problem. There is no reason I know of for this to happen spontaneously.

Need some help.

I´m having the same mistake, how can I fix it? I don´t have any hacks. I my new user cannot use their pass after thay logout. The only way is to contact an admin, and to give them a new pass.
NEED HELP!

First of all, please restore the vBulletin/Jelsoft copyright to your footer template. Right now you are in violation of the license agreement. At a minimum the copyright must read:

vBulletin, Copyright ©2000 - 2003, Jelsoft Enterprises Limited.

I also did execute the repair.php3 and everything is OK.

Well since you've shut down the forums I can't test this now.

If you have not installed any hacks, fill out a support ticket at:

http://www.vbulletin.com/members/support_form.php

Be sure to include the login info to your Admin CP and FTP.

If you have installed hacks, then remove the hacks first before filling out the support request.

I will re-open it. But I really don't know if there some hacks installed.

When I try to register I get an 'Internal Server Error'. However the problem appears to be that you've left the 'foro' off your URL in either the Admin CP settings or one or more templates.

before we do anything else you should correct this. Forst check the URL in the Admin CP and make sure it is:

http://cymtech.com.ar/foro/

If it is, then revert your registration templates back to original.

Try to enter with "Register" on top menu. It is working fine.
