      I've never Telnet into anything. How do I do that?

        David you can telnet using a free program called Putty.
        If you want something a little better check out SecureCRT.

            Ask your host if its enabled on your account, however some hosts don't have telnet enabled as there are security risks, they prefer to use SSH instead.
