  • Question about Pruning

    Who has access to pruning the forums? Can the Mods, SuperMods also prune forums?

    I find that many of my forums are pruned and threads older than 2 months are not seen. This is fine, in case Mods can prune.
    But what I find odd, is that my Admin Forum is pruned. The admin forum is visible only to the 3 admins. How can someone prune that? I havent done it. Also, how do I check in the admin log if some other admin has done this?

    Thanks

    Are you sure the posts are pruned? Do they show up when you choose to show threads 'from the beginning'?

      Yeah.. lol. Stupid me. I found it.

      How do I make the default thread view to 'from the beginning' ?

        This is a setting in your user control panel. Each user can view a different amount of 'history'.

          Admin CP -> Forums & Moderators -> Modify -> [edit] -> Default view age -> 1000

          Set this for each forum.

            Any way to do this for all forums at once? Any query I can run?

              UPDATE forum SET daysprune=1000

              Backup first!
