  • Remove Delete from Super Mods?

I'm running vB 2.2.9, and over the last 2 days "someone" has deleted every single post out of one of my forums. I have one Moderator (Who didn't do it) for that section, but several Super Moderators. I have no clue how it happened, who did it, why, etc. Are there any logs for Super Mods like there are for Admins?

Since I'll probably never know who did it, I want to take away the ability to delete from all my Moderators and Super Moderators. Have them move threads/posts instead to a "deleted" section. Users and Moderators are easy enough to change, but can I do this to Super Moderators? How can I take away their ability to Delete other's posts, Mass Move and Mass Prune?

TIA for any help you can give. My last resort would be to demote all my Super Mods back to Mods, but it hardly seems fair to punish everyone for one person's actions.

Finally, is there any way that this could be a bug, glitch, anything other than a malicious attack, that would target a specific section?

    Thanks!

User Groups >> Forum Permissions >> and click the name of the mods for the particular forums , and see if they can delete posts there.

Right , well if that is the case remove the super mods , and reduce them to mods. A supermod is the closest thing to an Admin. Don't have supermods if you can't trust them. There are no supermods logs. Maybe check vb.org for something.

Any other ideas? Or is reducing them to Moderators my only option?

this could help you alot, instead of just busting all super mods down to mod. This tracks deletion of threads, moving, closings. ect... This might help you.

Yes you should only have someone you trust as a super mod, but no need to alienate anyone who hasn't done anything wrong..

            Best of luck.
