Many people actually do have email addresses that use [email protected]www.domain.tld , so I wouldn't lock them out

I'm not so sure this is a good idea.
What about people who actually do have 'www.' in their email addresses?
e.g. '[email protected]' or the entire user base of '[email protected]'

    3) ran the two upgrade scripts

Thanks Steve. I'll check with my favorite vb hacker: Logician.

    He's amazing

Although they are all great, wonderful, helpful and kind!

started a topic ban/block members using www in email address?

ban/block members using www in email address?

How do I keep these newbies from using www in the front of their email addresses?

I have several of these a day it seems....members, all newbies, usually at their computer for the first time, trying to register for my site.

    They will add
    www.
to the front of their email address:

    or

Its not always AOL but usually.....

Is there a way to just add:
    www.
to the banned word list? It doesnt' sound like I could add this to the banned email list:
    www.
since the description sounds like complete email addresses or domain names.

    But maybe?

Anyone else solve this easily? Thanks!

Edited to fix the vb's converting the letters: W W W into a http://www clickable link.
widgetinstance 262 (Related Topics) skipped due to lack of content & hide_module_if_empty option.
