  • Is there a limit to how many images can be posted?

    I've just been letting the surfers post images all they want, but right now I'm getting flooded with these error messages:

    Database error in vBulletin :

    Link-ID == false, connect failed
    mysql error: User (name)@localhost has already more than 'max_user_connections' active connections

    mysql error number: 1203

    Script: /forum/attachment.php?postid=1483

    etc etc

    The server has maxed out the number of MySQL connections your host allows you. You can try turning persistent connections off in your config.php:

    PHP Code:
    // use persistant connections to the database
    // 0 = don't use
    // 1 = use
    $usepconnect 0
    But if you still have problems after that, all you can do is ask your host to raise the maximum number of connections they allow.

      That error has nothing to do with the number of images users can post.
      You host has set a maximum number of users who can connect to your db at any one time and this has been exceeded.

      Open your /admin/config.php and look for

      // use persistant connections to the database
      // 0 = don't use
      // 1 = use
      $usepconnect = ?;

      if $usepconnect = 1, set it to 0.

      After that, all you can do is to ask your host to increase the number of max connections.

      Too slow again.
