  • MySQL Database Error, help please?

    Greetings,

Everytime I have a new user signup, I get the following error:

    Database error in vBulletin 2.3.0:

Invalid SQL: INSERT INTO useractivation VALUES (NULL,'126','1048786741','68685818',0)
mysql error: Column count doesn't match value count at row 1

    mysql error number: 1136

What is causing this and how do I fix it?

    Thank you.

Are you using original PHP files or have they been codehacked?

I am using a VB skin (Noviaa) and have personally only changed forumdisplay.php to change the size of post icons.

I've been testing when this problem occurs. It ONLY occurs when I turn the "require e-mail registration confirmation" on in the admin control panel. If I turn that off, it works fine.

        HELP?

You could try and reuploading register.php

I already tried that as well as all my member.php's.

I've read every thread about this error (there are many) and have yet to see any threads where it has been fixed.

            HELP!

              have you already ran repair.php?

If you have, the only other thing I can think of trying is uploading all the original PHP files...

Pardon my ingnorance, but where do I get the complete error message and script info?

The e-mail I got had only the following:

That one is the complete error message.

Reuploading the original register.php file from 2.3.0 should have taken care of this. Are you sure you uploaded the original and overwrote the one on the server?

Also did you recently upgrade from an earlier version?

Yes, I have reuploaded the 2.3.0 register.php in ascii. However, when I do THAT, when someone tries to register, they get:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: vbmail() in /home/*editeddir*/public_html/forums/register.php on line 528

I did indeed recently upgrade from 2.2.9 to 2.3.0.

I appreciate you working with me on this Mr. Machol.

You also need to upload the original functions.php file from the 2.3.0 zip file. If fact, you should probably reupload them all since it appears you missed at least two of them.
