  • Error when changing a username

    Hi All

Have a problem when trying to change a Members username via the admin CP, After modifying the username and saving changes we get the following:-

Database error in vBulletin Control Panel 2.2.5:

    Invalid SQL: SELECT userid
    FROM user
    WHERE username='XXXXXXX'
    AND userid <>
mysql error: You have an error in your SQL syntax near '' at line 4

    mysql error number: 1064

Date: Wednesday 26th of March 2003 03:27:56 PM

The same user has already had a name change so not sure if that has anything to do with it. The only change to the forum recently was a template mod...please help...

This problem is caused by the latest versions of PHP which have broken some of the functions of older versions of vB. Your host must have recently upgraded to PHP 4.2.x. To fix this you need to upgrade your vB to the latest version.
