  • error checking with phpmyadmin

How do I check my tables to see if there are any errors through phpmyadmin? I can't do it from the SSH shell. I get a 1130 error.

Can you please paste the full error message here?

Select all the tables in phpmyadmin and then from the bottom drop down menu, click on 'optimize' and the second run on 'repair' - to awnser your question.

And is this not the same question as you have asked here : http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...highlight=1130 ?

Actually I haven't received an error. My old webhost is blaming errors in my tables for causing my database to go down sporadically. This is not true. They are shutting down the database server. I know this because when my forum's database goes down my website's control panel goes down as well. My database and all the databases linked to their control panel reside on the same server. So when my database is down my control panel is too. They will not admit to it. They claimed to have ran a repair on my database. I have an OLD backup prior to their "repair" I just want to know how to prove that my database had no errors. My old webhost is phpwebhosting. They are terrible. I have had nothing but problems with them. My database has been going off and on sporadically since day 1. Now they are trying to pass the buck and put it on me. Sorry for the long post.

Time to close the forums, make a backup and pack your things. Move to a better server like ventures online or whatever and enjoy real support instead of a luser admin who says it is your fault.

Actually I already have moved I can go on and on about how terrible they are. 50% I get a PREWRITTEN response. I drove me nuts! Well I have a new webhost and am pleased so far. If for some reason this one does not work out I will be going with ventures online. I have heard nothing but good about them.

True. I will just leave them alone. No need to get myself worked up. For anyone that is reading this PLEASE do not use phpwebhosting they are TERRIBLE.
