  • Using persistant Connections...?

While troubleshooting some slowness on my forum, I checked my config.php file and noticed that my $usepconnect=1; So I went and changed it to 0 and then my board wouldn't load and go the following error message:

    Database error in vBulletin 2.3.0:
Invalid SQL: SELECT * FROM usergroup WHERE usergroupid=6
mysql error: Table 'dotbanner.usergroup' doesn't exist
    mysql error number: 1146
Date: Friday 14th of March 2003 12:24:48 PM

    What does this mean? Thanks!

Your forums appear to be working fine right now.

Changing the usepconnect setting shouldn't have produced that error.

I fixed it Apparently there was some code left over in a template called phpinclude from our old banner program. I took the code out and was able to change the $usepconnect=0 and now it works.
