When using the admin control panel(after loging in) I keep having to login to make changes, sometimes after I adjust something and go to save changes I have to login again and make the changes again and then save them.
Is it something I'm doing wrong?

Something may be wrong with your cookies. make sure you are able to accept cookies. if you still have a problem, then manually delete them. To do this in IE 6.0:

Tools -> Internet Options -> Temporary Internet Files -> Settings -> View Files

Then search for the individual cookies for your domain and delete them all. The name should be in the form of:

Cookie:[email protected]
and
Cookie:[email protected]www.yoursite.com

...and any derivatives of the above. Then highlight the individual cookies and delete each one found. After this, close all browser windows and restart IE.

I'm assuming this is a vB2 troubleshooting problem - if you can, get to your vBulletin options page and make sure the cookie domain and path settings are right under the "HTTP Headers and Output" section. If you have multiple forums running on the same domain, make sure to set the path to the one you're logging into

e.g. /forum/

and the domain to whatever domain you're accessing the site from

e.g. www.mysite.com
