  • Moderator Problem

    Hello,

    I'm having trouble with my moderators access. I set a moderator up and they show up in the forum leaders and have a bold user name on the board, but when they try to perform a moderators function they get sent to the "don't have permission" screen.

    Does anyone know how I can fix this?

    Thanks,

    BGray

    What moderator action are they trying to do?

    If they want to move a post into a forum where they are not a moderator, they'll get the error meesage you are specifying...

            This requires hacking. Ask over at vbulletin.org.

              allright here is my solution for this :
              search for in postings.php (should be around line 346 at vb2.3.0) :
              PHP Code:
                // check destination forum permissions

              $permissions=getpermissions($forumid);
                if (!
              $permissions[canview]) {

              show_nopermission();
                }
              and add this code below :
              PHP Code:
                if (!ismoderator($forumid,"canmanagethreads")){

              show_nopermission();
                 }
              can any dev or user confirm this ?
              Thanks

                You should ask your question over at http://vbulletin.org since it's hacking the code.
