Removing last post name of Banned user

Hello,

I had a porno spammer today who posted on 66 individual threads.
I banned and removed him but his user name remains as the person who hade the last post on each thread

How can I get his persons name removed and the thread displaying the last legitimate poster.

Cos I've just had exactly the same problem on my forum (VFXTalk.com) - our two posts are asking for the solution to exactly the same problem, too... I've deleted my post, as there's no point for two asking the same thing...


Edit: Just had a look at your forum, and it is... Would there be a problem with posting this guy's IP address on here so that other forums can ban him before he gets to them (I'm assuming it's some kind of bot...)

I did a whois search on 20incock.com and called them in California.
They terminated the account 593465 immediately

I have also emailed [email protected] who apparently control the email programme at GameBox.

Not only is the last post name a problem, but it screwed up the "real" chronological order of the threads.

I wish you replied a bit earlier tho - being a newbie, me and some members just mass-replied to the spammers posts, getting his name off the boards.

*sigh* a forum update would have saved a lot of hassle and been much cleaner - I will remember this for future reference.

Second time its happened


Caught another one today. Email address [email protected] again run by www.hotpop.com

The website affiliate programme was blowqueen.com

I phoned them in Toronto and an email was sent to [email protected]

Very very sad industry and equally sad people.
