Okay. I do not hack my board much if at all to keep queries down to a minimum ..
When I used to run vb -2.2.7 (notice the minus) I was getting 14 - 16 queries, since upgrading after to 2.2.7, 2.2.8, 2.2.9, and 2.3.0 the queries keep climbing .. i am now getting 19 queries on forum home with NO hacks installed.
1) I disabled forum jump to try and lower that number, But it's still at 19.
2) I disabled birthdays on home page, still at 19 ..
3) I disabled everything that i can to lower the queries on forum home and its still remain 19 on home page!
i refuse to upgrade my board if more un-optimize code is being cluttered and over-working my server .. its unnecessary, I've seen many other forums that run at full speed with 7 - 8 queries .. Before I moved to vbulletin a couple months ago I used to run Invision Board, 8 queries max, I moved to VB for security and speed (since my friend was running it and he told me to switch, so i took his word) I like vbulletin but i want it optimize like it was when i first bought it.
I want to know where do I download vb -2.2.6 or lower because I do not want to see all these useless database calls and i was getting much less stress with the older version
Please respond because my license expires soon and i want to know if i should renew, i want to go back to 2.2.6 and stay there. who do i contact?
