None of the files have been altered with hacks from e.g. vbulletin.org, so the code is untouched.

        Scott,

do you mean I should overwrite all vB files with a new copy of vB?

You can repeat the problem by trying to register to the forums or requesting that your password is sent by e-mail to you. Also our hostmaster reported that he hasn't experienced MySQL or PHP related problems with the other systems running on the same server (e.g. vBulletin 2.2.9 of CGN and phpBB 2.0.3 of Gamecatcher).

yes all files should be overwritten its not a case of just running the upgrade script.

no problem its a common misconseption

Alot of people think the style is held in vbulletin.style and dont upload that file so no template fixes are done, so make sure that is uploaded before running the upgrade script.
