Rebuilding Search Index Stops in the Middle

My serverhost tells me to use the -h option. I have also tried without this option, but it's not working then.

Says: Cant connect to local MYSQL server trough socket /tmp/mysql.sock (2)

Is the mysql server on the same server as your ssh login or is it on a remote server?
