I assume the skin consists of a .style file and some images.

Upload the .style file through your Admin CP -> Styles -> Download / Upload. Upload the images to your forum/images directory using a FTP client.

No, they dont. YOu have to pay extra for that. I have a related question I 've been trying to answer for a bit. I have a skin from vbskins called Emerge, but when I installed it the forum is kind of "compacted". They say there is a way to have it expand across the whole screen (like normal) but they are appearently keeping it to themselves. Does anybody have experience with this that could help me out? Heck I'll even settle for theories.

have a look inside the header template at the bottom i would say that a couple of lines start with table delete these and it should go across the whole screen then

Well, you cant necessarily resize the tables, with their graphics intense styles it might pixelate some of the images.

I thought their styles were width set and expanded set? Maybe you can contact them and ask them if you can exchange it

I bought the Ravio style sheet for vBulletin - to expand the skin open the HEADER template and change "758" to "100%".

I assume it's probably the same for all other styles.
