    If a user has an asterisk next to their user name in the who's online area, what does that mean? Thanks in advance.

    It means they've chosen to be invisible on the forums. Admins can see these users however.

      It means that user want to remain invisible on the who's online area. However, as an administrator, you get to see everybody who is online.
