  • Strange problem I have with my boards over the last 2 days

    My boards URL is...

    http://uoforums.com/

The problem I have is the "Currently Active users" at the bottom of the page.

I noticed the other day the number of users was unusually high for 5am in the morning. (50 or so users, 37ish guests)
I checked the "who's online" bit, and the "Last active" column had some weird times in it.
Some people's last activity was 5 hours ago, some 4, some 3 etc etc.
Where as normally, anyone who doesn't do anything for 30 minutes or so, dissapears off the list.
I've also noticed that if I go into one of the forums, it reports that "User1" (a for instance) is viewing the forum, but infact they're not, they're not even online!

I'm not sure if this is a hack problem? or a board or server problem?
Nothing has been changed on the boards for a while now (1 month at least)

What do you have for your Cookie Timeout setting?

Change CKEditor Colors to Match Style (for 4.1.4 and above)

      oh...my.....word
      hehe

      Timeout for Cookie
This is the time in seconds that a user must remain inactive before the unread posts are reset to read.

      "86400"

Uh..what should it be by default? :/

That would be your problem then. You are keeping people logged in for 24 hours before their sessions expire. The default is 900 (15 minutes.)

          Thanks very much Steve
I've changed it back to the default.
I really have no clue as to why it changed.
